New comers would rather have a chile rose or a mexican red knee (I love them both by the way), purely because they want an easy and tame spider to look after. But with there jet black legs and red abdomens, the mexican red rump spiders are a VERY handsome and majestic speices. They are a bit skittish, but would rather run away then bite. I have included a pic, please try and appreciate this species more, as, with most others, they could be endangerd soon."... Yan
