1 | The Eastern Fence Lizard is also known as the Common Swift, Prairie Lizard, Texas Swift, and Gray Lizard. It is found in North America with a wide range extending from the central United States down into Mexico. This medium sized lizard can reach up to about 7 1/4" in length. They are somewhat variabe, colored in shades of greys and browns with a pale blue on the throat and belly. The blue becomes more intense on males during the summer months. The backs of the females are patterned with wavy lines. Submitted courtesy Ken Childs.
