1 | The Blue Iguana is also known as the Cayman Island Blue Iguana and the Grand Cayman Iguana. It is endemic to the island of Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands and today is listed as critically endangered. Until 2004 is was considered as subspecies of the Cuban Iguana, but genetic differences have now placed it in its own species. Capable of living up to 69 years, the Blue Iguana is one of the longest living lizards. Submitted courtesy Ken Childs.
