1 | The California Legless Lizard is a small lizard reaching only up to about 7" in length. And as its name indicates, this slender lizard has no legs making it easy to confuse with a snake. Its color can vary from a metallic silver, to a beige, dark brown, or black on it's upper side with a dark line running down the center. The underside is white to yellowish with some specimans having dark blotching. Submitted courtesy Ken Childs.
