1 | The Ground Agama has rows of enlarged spines on its back. Its overall coloring is brown patterned with blotches of darker browns as well as lighter blotching on its back. It coloring makes it so well camouflouged that in its natural environment, rather than darting into a crevice to hide when threatened, it will play dead. During Breeding season, males becomes quite colorful with bright orangish reds on the face and body, and displaying blue-green colors on its throat and cheeks. Submitted courtesy David Brough.
