3 | There are two subspecies of Australian Water Dragon; this one which is the Eastern Water Dragon, Physignathus lesueurii lesueurii, and it's close cousin the Gippsland Water Dragon, Physignathus lesueurii howitti. The Gippsland lacks the dark band behind the eye seen in the Eastern Water Dragon. Submitted courtesy David Brough.
